I nearly stole a cat

A week in La Alpujarra
My husband and I recently escaped to La Alpujarra for a week. Just the two of us.
It was our fourth visit to the great valley below the Sierra Nevada, south of Granada, and I love it more every time. The countryside is stunning. White pueblos cling to the hillsides, each one a little different from the last, and every bend in the road brings another view you have to stop for.
We stayed in a cosy cortijo, a renovated little farm building surrounded by hundreds of olive and fruit trees. I read. I wrote. I relaxed, which I am told is good for me.
If you've read Heat of Desire, you'll know the Alpujarra is where Lucas and Cami's story is set. This time, I went back to edit Diego's story.
We also had regular visitors: two separate packs of four dogs, all manner of bird life, bats, amazing insects, and a lovely black cat who came to see us for several hours every day.
A bad version of me would definitely have stolen that cat.
I am not saying how close the bad version came to winning. Ahem.
